21. Breath Awareness Meditation

In today's episode, Katherine shares a super special Breath Awareness Meditation that she loves and uses to bing herself back to the present moment during times of overwhelm. 

She explains the many benefits of breath work and how connecting to your breath has a powerful way to help the body shift from the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight mode) into the parasympathetic nervous system response (rest and digest mode). 

It is extremely helpful in supporting nervous system regulation overall, but also allows a change to tune in to your body, where you're at and what you need. 

When we focus on our breath it forces us to focus on what is happening IN THE MOMENT...which in this case is our breath.
